M.Sc. in Urban Planning

Pulchowk Campus offers a comprehensive Master of Science in Urban Planning (M.Sc. Urban Planning) program, a two-year advanced degree that prepares professionals to address complex urban challenges. The curriculum systematically develops expertise across essential areas including:

  • Planning Theory & Methods: Advanced understanding of planning principles, research methodologies, and analytical techniques for urban development.
  • Urban Design & Development: Comprehensive knowledge of city planning, regional planning, and sustainable urban development practices.
  • Infrastructure & Services: Expertise in urban infrastructure planning, transportation systems, and municipal service delivery.
  • Policy & Governance: Understanding of urban governance, planning legislation, and policy formulation for sustainable cities.
  • Specialized Applications: Advanced skills in GIS, urban modeling, environmental planning, and contemporary urban challenges.
